"Ring of Fire" Author Talk with Poet Alessandra Gelmi at Shirlington - 2/08
Join us at the Shirlington Branch Library on Monday, Feb. 8 at 7:00 p.m., for a discussion with poet Aleesandra Gelmi on her latest work of Ring of Fire, which won first prize in its genre from the National Federation of Press Women. Gelmi is also the author of the novel Who?s Afraid of Red, a chronicle of love set against the Rwandan Genocide, and recognized for Excellence in Arts and Letters by the National Association of Women for Progress in Africa. Gelmi won the 2008 Bronze Medal in Multicultural Fiction in the Independent Publisher Book Awards. She was an award-winning finalist in the Multicultural Fiction Category of the National Best Books 2008 Awards, sponsored by USA Book News.
