Call for Instructors: ALCTS Fundamentals of Collection Assessment (FCA) Web Course
Call for Instructors: ALCTS Fundamentals of Collection Assessment (FCA) Web CourseALCTS is interested in recruiting knowledgeable librarians from all kinds of libraries to teach additional sections of its popular Fundamentals of Collection Assessment online course. Each course is offered over a seven week period and includes self-paced modules and interaction with the instructors and classmates. This typically consists of six weeks of instruction followed by a one week wrap up. The courses are already developed and ready to use; no additional editing is needed. Instructors participate in evaluations and have opportunities to recommend updates to the course content as needed. Instructors receive a modest honorarium. To ensure consistency of instruction and offer participants a high value experience, an instructor training module has been designed that includes:1. Taking the course as a participant.2. Repeating the course shadowing the instructor, with access to the instructor interface.3. Team-teaching the course with an experienced instructor. Please visit the ALCTS Web site for additional information about the course athttp://www.ala.org/alcts/
