Call for Proposals
The Michigan Library Association (MLA) invites proposals to present at Academic Libraries 2014, the association?s fourth annual two-day event highlighting trends and issues relating to academic libraries. This event will showcase state and national cutting-edge trends, identify Michigan?s unique issues and connect academic library staff to their peers and colleagues. The Academic Libraries 2014 Work Group seeks a variety of proposals that will address topics representing the wide-range of professional responsibilities found in academic libraries and those that will introduce new ideas or solutions to the challenges currently facing academic libraries. We encourage broad participation from librarians, staff and administrators from all types of academic libraries (including but not limited to public universities, private colleges and community colleges).
We envision that Academic Libraries 2014 will:
? Appeal to academic librarians, administrators, and staff from around the state and from various types of academic institutions;
? feature programs that reflect the range of professional responsibilities found in academic libraries and offer new insights or explore current trends in the academic library environment; and
? Provide opportunities for participants to connect with peers and colleagues from around the state.
