Access Services & Resource Sharing Colleagues,
The Journal of Access Services is seeking contributions for the next several issues. Have a topic that you?ve been interested in researching? Found improvements in the work flow? Implemented a new training program for staff and student assistants? Want to share some tips and tricks with technology? Now is your chance! Please take a minute or two, and consider submitting a paper proposal.
We look forward to hearing from you!
The Journal of Access Services covers those topics relevant to the access services in libraries and archives of all types. Access Services is the broad field and collective term of all the services that provide, facilitate, and manage the access of the clientele to the information resources acquired or made available by the libraries or archives. Access Services aims to allow easy and convenient retrieval of needed information, utilization of information resources to the fullest extent, and greatest availability of resources to each of the clientele.
The Journal of Access Services frequently covers, but is not limited to:
? stacks maintenance
? circulation services
? document delivery and interlibrary loan
? reserve reading collections
? building security and maintenance
? user area maintenance
The journal also discusses the evolution of technology that has led departments to provide access to both traditional and electronic information resources, regardless of whether they are licensed, or held locally, remotely, or consortially, and demands continuous review of means for delivering the services and the kind of services that should be provided.SELECTED CONTENTS?
