Glencarlyn uses cisterns to save on water bills
Village Views, the Newsletter of the Glencarlyn Citizens' Association, reports the following news from the Glencarlyn Branch Library:"Since June 2009, when the Library Community garden began fully using new cisterns and other water-saving methods, the Glencarlyn Library's water bills have declined dramatically."
In summer 2007 and summer 2008, monthly water bills were between $200 - S400, but after the water saving program started, summer 2009 bills were $45 to $145. That's quite a bit of green savings - way to go Glencarlyn volunteers!
