The Arlington Commission for the Arts is seeking public comment on the initial draft of the "Arlington Arts 2030" report (pdf), a long range strategy that provides recommendations for the support of the arts in Arlington County over the next 20 years.

Shirlington Hosts Public Hearing on Strategy for Arts in Arlington
The Arlington Commission for the Arts is seeking public comment on the initial draft of the "Arlington Arts 2030" report (pdf), a long range strategy that provides recommendations for the support of the arts in Arlington County over the next 20 years. Two hearings for public comment will be held:
- Saturday, June 11, 12:00 p.m. - Artisphere
- Monday, June 13, 6:30 p.m. - Shirlington Branch Library
In December 2009, the Arlington County Board charged the Arlington Commission for the Arts with overseeing a study to recommend new strategies for the County's continued support of the arts over the next 20 years. the process for the study involved numerous key informant interviews, an online stakeholder survey and best practices research. Two arts management consultants spearheaded the effort while a Steering Committee, comprised of representatives of the Arlington community, provided overall guidance and direction to the study.
