smartinvesting@yourlibrary Events for Ottumwa Public Library start in January. Check these programs out and plan to join us for the movie, classes, and speaker!
- Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at 5:30 pm the movie, ?Frontline: The Card Game,? will be shown at the library with an informational session on the classes to follow the movie.
- The Financial Education Classes will give participants a chance to select from one of three on-line courses: Starting Out (GenX), Building Up (Baby Boomers), or Making It Last (Retirees). The courses will be taught by ISU Extension staff and will begin and end in person at the library, with weeks 2-5 conducted online with lessons and exercises to go through.
- Wednesday, January 23, the first class will be held at both 3pm and 5:30 pm with an instructor from Iowa State Extension.
- The second through fifth classes will be taught online.
- The final class will be held at the library on
Tuesday, February 26 again at both 3pm and 5:30 pm Rescheduled for Tuesday, March 5 at 3pm and 5:30pm. (A drawing for an IPOD Nano will take place for those present at the final class.) - In April a final wrap up presentation will be held in the library
