Arlington Reads 2011?The Soldier's Story

Arlington Reads 2011 info page

Arlington County - home to the Pentagon, Fort Myer and Arlington National Cemetery - is never far from war.

Because understanding a soldier's life and work is so relevant to our community, Arlington Reads 2011 features the theme "The Soldier's Story: Serving Country and Community."  We will read Pulitzer-prize winning Washington Post reporter David Finkel's "The Good Soldiers" - a non-fiction account of U.S troops in Iraq - and Tim O'Brien's "The Things They Carried" - a work of fiction about American soldiers in the Vietnam War.

Arlington Reads 2011 will also include:

All events are free and open to the public, but seating is limited and will be on a first come, first serve basis - for details on seating, visit the Library website or call 703-228-6321.
