Author Talk: "Getting a Grip 2"

Join us at the Shirlington Branch Library Tuesday, May 18, at 7 p.m., for a discussion with Frances Moore Lappé, author of Getting a Grip 2: Clarity, creativity and courage for the world we really want.

The New York Times Book Review called "Getting a Grip 2" a must-read for President Obama. Lappé - author of Diet for a Small Planet - will discuss ways to rethink the meaning of power, democracy, and hope itself. She says the book "is to enable us to see what is happening all around us but is still invisible to most of us ? people in all walks of life penetrating the spiral of despair and reversing it with new ideas, innovation and courage."
