September is full of opportunities to learn more about Arlington's fascinating history:- Monday, Sept. 12 - Ed Bearss: The Role of Northern VA in the Civil War. Bearss, a resident of Arlington, is the retired chief historian for the National Park Service, and was featured in the Ken Burns PBS series "The Civil War."
- Thursday, Sept. 15 - Memories of Washington-Lee Highschool Through the Decades. Co-presented by the Arlington Historical Society and the Washington-Lee High School Alumni Association.
- Monday, Sept. 19 -Queen City Down the Road: Arlington's Black Community After Freedman's Village and Before the Pentagon. A community discussion hosted by The Virginia Room's Arlington Reunion History Program.
