Friends of the Library Monday Night Book Club

Monday, February 27, 7:30 p.m. ? 9:00 p.m.
Central Library

The Friends of the Library Monday Evening Book Club meets the 4th Monday of the month (except Dec 17 and May 21) in the 2nd floor meeting room.

This month the book discussed will be Samuel Pepys' Diary - 1/1/1660-5/1/1669.
Samuel Pepys was a remarkable man who witnessed the coronation of Charles II, the Great Plague of 1665, and the Great Fire of 1666. Originally scribbled in a cryptic shorthand, Pepys's quotidian journal of life in Restoration London provides an astonishingly frank and diverting account of political intrigues; naval, church, and cultural affairs; and the sexual escapades and domestic strife of a man with a voracious, childlike appetite for living.

You will also need to bring 8 copies of your THREE POEMS for distribution to the club members.

For more information contact Lenee Fry at 703-228-7689.
