Discussion of "Crime and Punishment" - Aug 22

All are invited to the Central Library Monday, August 22, for a discussion of Fyodor Dostoyevsky's Crime and Punishment, from 7:30-8:30 p.m.

Determined to overreach his humanity and assert his untrammeled individual will, Raskolnikov, and impoverished student living in the St. Petersburg of the Tsars, commits an act of murder and theft and sets into motion a story which, for its excruciating suspense, its atmospheric vividness, and its profundity of characterization and vision, is almost unequaled in the literature of the world.

The Friends Book Group usually meets the fourth Monday of the month. For more information call 703-228-7689.
