History Talk: "Secrecy and National Security In a Democracy"
You are cordially invited to join us Thursday, June 24, when Former CIA chief historian Dr. Gerald K. Haines will present a history talk on "Secrecy and National Security In a Democracy" at the Friends of the Library's 2010 General Meeting, at Central Library, from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m.Haines, now a lecturer at the University of Virginia, teaches the popular class "Espionage, Intelligence and Policy Making in the 20th Century."
Refreshments will be served, and the Friends will conduct a brief business meeting, including the election of officers for the upcoming fiscal year.
