Raising Children in a Multicultural World

Join us Tuesday, Oct. 11, at 7:00 p.m. for a discussion with author Monica Brown on Raising Children in a Multicultural World, in the Central Library Auditorium.

We live in a multicultural world - how can parents help kids make sense of that world? Dr. Brown will talk about the value of multicultural literature, great books for kids and about raising her own two daughters as bilingual, multi-racial Americans.

Monica Brown, Ph.D. is the author of numerous award-winning bilingual books for children, many of which are inspired by her Peruvian-American heritage. She is a Professor of English at Northern Arizona University.
