Student Photo Contest "Capturing Arlington"
The Virginia Room, the Library's local history collection, is sponsoring a photo contest for Arlington students to help document the changing face of our County. |

Entries should be photographs of places that might vanish as Arlington develops. This includes strip malls, individual businesses, places of historical importance, unusual buildings, homes and landmarks as well as public spaces and public art. Let your imagination be your guide!
Cash prizes will be given in two categories: Junior (grades 6-8) and Senior (grade 9-12). All winners will have their work displayed online and at the Central Library.
First Prize: $150
Second Prize: $100
Third Prize: $75
Submission Guidelines (pdf):- 8"x10" or 9"x12" color or black and white prints
- negative or digital file (jpg 300 dpi or larger)
- Signed entry form (pdf)
Entry Rules:- No more than five (5) images per submission
- No doctored photographs
Submit signed form and all entry materials by Wednesday, Dec. 15 to:Capturing Arlington Photo Contest, Virginia Room, Arlington Public Library
