August Computer Classes


Need some techie tutoring? Computer Classes will be back in August!

Classes are free and open to the public and take place on Wednesday mornings at 10:30 a.m. in the computer lab on the first floor. These classes are limited to 8 participants, and registration is required.

You can register by asking at the first floor circulation desk or calling the library at (641) 673 - 0441.





August 2014 Schedule

6th - Computer Basics - 10:30 a.m.
This class is for true beginners! You?ll learn about the parts of a computer, the difference between software and hardware and how to use a mouse.

13th - Intro to the Internet - 10:30 a.m.
This is an introduction to the world wide web! You?ll learn about Internet browsers and how to access websites, news, maps and more. Basic computer skills suggested.

20th - Microsoft Word - 10:30 a.m.
Get started with Microsoft?s word processing software!  Learn how to format a document, enter and edit text, save and manage files, and more.  Basic computer skills are needed for this class.

27th - Genealogy Online - 10:30 a.m.
Researching your family tree? Get an introduction to some of the genealogy resources available through the library and on the web.
