Board the Digital Bookmobile Sept. 29 at Central

Get the low down on free Library downloads when the Digital Bookmobile stops by Central Library on Wednesday, Sept. 29, from 1 to 7 p.m.

Arlington Public Library offers a large and growing collection of text-based eBooks and digital audiobooks - all available for free with your library card, and downloadable 24/7 through the Library's website. So whether you've already worn out a Nook or Sony Reader, or wouldn't know an iPod from a Zune, a visit to the Digital Bookmobile is a great lesson in getting more from your 21st century library.

The 75-foot, 18-wheel Digital Bookmobile will have a host of experts on board ready to take you through the entire download process - from finding favorites in the Library catalog to taking them on the road with you. The Digital Bookmobile is sponsored by OverDrive (one of our digital media vendors) and is an immersive, hands-on learning experience, which features broadband-connected PCs, high-definition monitors and a variety of portable reading and listening devices.

Consider the Sept. 29 Digital Bookmobile visit a high-tech update of the old reliable bookmobile that some of us knew in our youth. Our collection of eBooks and digital audiobooks offers even more convenience - check-out time is anytime, and you never have to return materials or risk overdue notices.
