On Thursday, July 28, the Aurora Hills Librarians will celebrate the 145th birthday of author and illustrator Beatrix Potter.
Beatrix Potter grew up in rural England and Scotland. As an adult she ran a large farm and became a prize-winning breeder of Herdwick sheep! As a life-long lover of nature and animals it is no surprise where she got the inspiration for her beautiful children's books.
