Roald Dahl led a fascinating life. Born to Norweigen parents in Cardiff, England, be became a flying ace in the Royal Air Force in World War II as well as an intelligence agent. After the war he pursued his writing. We know him best for his children's stories like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Matilda but he also dabbled in adult fiction writing macabre, darkly funny stories with surprise endings!
