In the month of July, Book Whisperers at Westover Branch Library gathered to recommend their favorite detective, mystery and thriller authors.
Excited patrons shared titles and authors. Here are some of their suggestions:
- Barr, Nevada - Anna Pigeon mysteries set in the National Parks
- Bell, Ted - writes thrillers on a global scale
- Bowen, Rhys - mysteries set in turn-of-the-century New York
- Box, C.J. - the Wyoming National Parks are the setting for his mysteries
- Clare, Alys - medieval mysteries
- Crombie, Deborah - police procedurals set in the London in the early 1900's
- George, Elizabeth - Inspector Lynley mysteries, also set in London
- Mayor, Archer - Vermont is the setting for these mysteries with Joe Gunther
- Morrell, David - thrillers are his specialty
- Penny, Louise - Quebec is the setting for many of these mysteries
- Peters, Elizabeth - mysteries of Egypt with Amelia Peabody
- Rankin, Ian - Inspector Rebus and mysteries in Scotland
