On the Riverfront: 

The History of Ottumwa?s Riverfront

For our April program the OPL?s Reminisce Society is pleased to present local historians, authors and photographers Michael Lemberger & Leigh Michaels. They will present ?On the Riverfront: The History of Ottumwa?s Riverfront,? at the upcoming Reminisce program, Tuesday, April 22, at 10:00 a.m. in the library?s meeting room. Their program will focus on the local history of the Des Moines River and its influence and importance to the community of Ottumwa.

Michael W. Lemberger is an award-winning photographer, artist, and author who has collected historic photographs for more than 50 years.

Leigh Michaels is the author of more than 80 novels and nonfiction books. They have drawn on several private postcard collections to select vintage images that illustrate the varied history of their hometown.
