Urban Agriculture Lecture on Growing Quality Fruit

If you were inspired by the discussions of locally grown food and sustainable living during Arlington Reads, you won't want to miss this event:

On Friday, June 11, the VCE/Master Gardener's Sustainable Urban Agriculture Lecture Series presents: "Quality Fruit for Urban Gardeners: Growing grapes, kiwi, fruit trees, cane and other small fruit in Northern Virginia," from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Fairlington Community Center.

Guest speaker Michael Lachance, Extension Agent from Nelson County, will discuss plant sources, varieties and cultivation tips for success with growing cane fruit, tree fruits, shrub fruits and vine, as well as ways to save space and maximize yield in your garden.
