"Understand Energy" Fun Programs in May
Update 5/9: The May 11 program at Central Library has been canceled. Updated 4/15: Program at Columbia Pike has been postponed. Energy. It's a constant issue these days and it affects your life and your pocketbook. Join us this Spring for a great new program about energy use, with fun hands-and-feet-on programs to increase your knowledge, save you money and help create an "energy-literate" Arlington. Designed for adults and kids ten and older, this program will feature the "energy cycle" (a stationary bicycle that you pedal to learn about energy); active solar and fuel cell demonstrations; fun experiments; and even a juggler! This program is co-sponsored by the Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority and presented by Martin Ogle, Chief Naturalist of the Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority. He and his staff at Potomac Overlook Regional Park, in Arlington, have been educating the public about energy for almost 20 years!
So visit the Library on Wednesday evenings in April and May - and get zapped with awareness about watts, volts and amps, electrified by human motion and see the light with efficiency!
