Library eBooks: Coming to Your Kindle in 2011!
UPDATE 9/21/11: Kindle Library Lending is here! More Details ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Did you see the Amazon announcement this week about the "Launch of Library Lending for Kindle Books"?Complete details aren't yet available - in their press release, Amazon says "Kindle Library Lending will be available later this year" - but before the end of 2011 we expect you will be able to browse for eBook titles on any desktop or mobile operating system, check out a title with a library card, and then select Kindle as the delivery destination. The Kindle eBook titles borrowed from a library will carry the same rules and policies as all our other eBooks.
We'll let you know all the details, as soon as we learn more! ********** Already a fan of our downloadable eBook collection? - Remember that OverDrive titles can be checked out for 7, 14,or 21 days - your choice. You can change the default - 21 days - at our OverDrive site. Just sign in to your eAccount and choose Lending Periods. (Unfortunately, this isn't possible from the wireless OverDrive app)
