Conservation Gardening: Frogs and Toads

On Saturday, April 18th there will be a talk by Alicia Houk at 10am in the Public Library Meeting Room, called Conservation Gardening: Frogs and Toads.  It is the second in a 4 part series (butterflies, frogs, birds, bees).

About 95% of Iowa's wetlands have been drained over the past 150 years, and this talk will focus on what that means for Iowa's amphibians and how gardeners can create space for frogs and toads.

Alicia Houk has taught Environmental Science at Indian Hills for the past 3 years.
